If you ever thought you might like to try to fly a Sport/Stunt Kite then I will be introducing basic flight and “trick” instructions next week \nThe location is yet to be determined but probable fields will be either Flesher Field (off Stadium/9th St) or the Portage field off Oakland vs Texas Corners Park (Milham/Texas Drive) \nTime of event 4pm – 5:30 \nI do have a (limited) number of “loaner” Sport/Stunt kites but an RSVP is required to reserve one of the kites for you \nIf this event is of interest to you I Highly Recommend that you go to YouTube and do a search for “Zen sense how to fly a framed Sport/Stunt Kite” video which is ~ 17 minutes long and is a very nice introduction to basic flying techniques and some beginners tricks

Picked as the overwhelming winner in our poll\, I’m glad to see that people are as curious about this movie as we are! \nA brief description from Rotten Tomatoes:Two brothers receive a cryptic video message inspiring them to revisit the UFO death cult they escaped a decade earlier. \nRogerEbert.com has strong words of praise for it\, so it has really piqued my interest (as if “UFO death cult” wasn’t enough to get me curious).“If you have a good idea\, a strong cast\, a smart script\, and directorial chops\, you don’t need a lot of money to make a compelling movie. ‘The Endless’ is proof.” \nAnd here’s the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXB0DK3upGY \nI’ll be hosting the Party and will post the live link at the top of the Description @ 6:30pm so you can join us. In the 1800s\, Indian removal was federal policy that displaced tens of thousands of natives from their ancestral homelands. The most infamous of these removals was the Cherokee Trail of Tears but Michigan has its own history of removing its native populations. This talk will look at the history of forced relocation of tribes in Michigan and the repercussions removal policies had on tribes.
