DESCRIPTION:Hi everyone\, \nBook of the Month\n*Ubik* – Philip K. Dick (1969) \nFirst of all\, apologies for the delay in posting our survey results\, life is crazy right now. \nLike many of you\, I’m a Philip K. Dick fan. His ability to easily convey the worlds he creates and his “out there” concepts have made him one of the pillars of science fiction. His near-first-person perspective approach to narration and his story-crafting skills make him among the more accessible authors in the genre. \nI don’t know about you\, but I am really looking forward to this month’s selection! To have a novel I haven’t read by Dick described by the Guardian as a story “that seems to squirm away the moment you think you’ve got a grip on it” has me very curious. *Ubik* is a story of death\, life\, psychics\, and corporate espionage. \nI don’t want to go too much further into the story as I don’t know what I’ll be spoiling.
