DESCRIPTION:We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be joined by A2REIC member\, and successful Student Rental owner Jason Hill. Jason has a great story about how he started\, how he weathered a few major setbacks\, how he stayed persistent\, and is now operating a very successful property in a very competitive niche. He will share the good\, the bad\, and the ugly. What he did right\, what he did wrong\, and what he would do differently if he had to do it over again. \nStudent housing can be described as a Niche Within a Niche. It is considered Multi-family because most students are unrelated\, but within the student housing world comes its own requirements\, strategies\, rules\, regulations\, upsides\, and downsides\, and as I have learned from dealing in student housing for the past 17 years\, it requires a special mindset and approach that is different from other multi-family investments. Some investors love student housing\, others won’t touch them. \nObviously\, we are in the heart of a couple similar\, but separate\, and quite different student housing markets of the University of Michigan\, and Eastern Michigan University. We’ll teach you those similarities and differences\, but also equip you with some knowledge that you can apply to any College Campus market.
