Hi everyone,
Thanks to all of you that voted for this month’s modern novellas, it was really close! The two with the longest titles won out this month (so long they won’t both fit in the title of our meeting!).
“The Tea Master and the Detective”
“This is how You Lose the Time War”
I think for next month we’ll post a poll with the other two that were in contention along with the two classics that were in the running and see what wins. I’m glad you all are enjoying reading these shorter-form stories.
For August, we have a couple great, award-winning stories on our hands.
The Tea Master and the Detective – Aliette de Bodard (2018)
– Nebula Award winner that is a murder mystery in a space habitat society.
– Link to the free PDF is in the comments
This Is How You Lose the Time War – Amal El-Mohtar, Max Gladstone (2019)

– Hugo, Nebula, and Locust award winner about two rival time agents hellbent on securing the best possible future for their warring factions.

Finally, some of you have been asking about how to join up as screeners for the Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival. I have tried to send a message to those of you that RSVP’ed for the meeting but it doesn’t seem to be going through. Sooooo, you’ll find info about how to watch the recent meeting about BSFFF and join at the link below:
