Upper Peninsula Golf Trip

Last years golf trip to the UP was a fantastic time with great weather, golf and dining! I’m planning it again for late August. Island Resort and Casino is located in Harris, just west of Escanaba. They have some great golf packages. I’m looking at 4 nights and 4 golf courses. The golf courses are Sage Run, Sweetwater, Greywalls in Marquette and Timberstone in Iron Mountain. The price for a single is $640. If you double up in a room the price is $500/ea. These prices are all inclusive meaning golf and lodging. This is a GREAT price as Greywalls alone is $180. Timberstone goes for $129. All of the courses are fantastic and play well for all skill levels. There are some great restaurants in Escanaba. Cancelations are allowed up to 48 hours before arrival. I have done this package before and I can tell you the rooms are comfortable and the golf is first class. I’m looking at the 4th week in August…staying the nights of the 22rd – 25th and golfing the 23th – 26th. At this point there are rooms available but I don’t want to wait to much longer to book this. Please let me know if you are interested. Once I have a feel for how many want to go I will schedule tee times. Give it some serious thought, it is a dream trip. I am open to taking a few passengers and car pooling. I will probably head up early and golf a few courses in the Gladstone area but everyone can obviously do what best fits their schedule.

I can’t see a way to specify a specific end date for the RSVPs but when I talked to them today the rooms are filling up fast. It was entirely sold out last summer. With that in mind please RSVP by Friday, April 29th.

Update 5/9/22

Ok, I have booked 10 rooms at the casino. I need you to message me if you plan on going and if you are going to want single or double occupancy. To be clear…the lodging is 4 nights, Monday the 22nd thru Thursday the 25…departing on the 26th. Golf will be Tuesday the 23rd thru Friday morning the 27th. Thanks!
