Hi all,
Book of the Month:
“Cat’s Cradle” by Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
Thanks to those of you that voted for this month’s pick. It was even closer than I thought! So we’ll circle back around to JG Ballard’s “The Drowned World” soon.
This month, we’ll be reading Vonnegut’s 1963 novel on free will and the end of days. “Cat’s Cradle” was nominated for a Hugo (beat by Clifford D. Simak’s “Way Station” FYI) and is regarded as one of his best. Hope you feel the same way!
Ant from sfbooks.com sums it up well in their review of the novel “I love the subtle, dry humor and bitter irony that colours the narrative, joined with the relaxed, unhurried pace and…down-to-earth style.”

If you haven’t read much Kurt Vonnegut Jr., this is a good one to start with. His irreverent humor and sharp wit drive a compelling narrative.
To join a Book Club meeting, all you will need is YOURSELF. If you haven’t had a chance to finish the book, we still would love for you to join us in the discussion. Our Webex meeting went very well this past Sunday, we hope you’ll consider dropping in on April 18th!
